Open COVID Pledge
Several academics, including Professors
Jorge Contreras (University of Utah College of Law)
and
Mark Lemley (Stanford Law School)
,
have proposed a system whereby owners of patents and copyrights can "pledge to make [their] intellectual property available for use in ending the COVID-19 pandemic and minimizing the impact of the disease, free of charge and without encumbrances."
The
Open COVID License itself may be found here.
