Little Trademark On The Prairie

On January 16, 1984, the Kansas Department of Commerce filed a state trademark application for the phrase "From the Land of Kansas."  On February 2, 2009, this trademark, intended to promote the marketing of Kansas agricultural products, expired.  The government of Kansas has now decided to bring this trademark back, hoping that the Wheat State can use it to make hay and earn its farmers some dough.
