Little Trademark On The Prairie
On January 16, 1984, the Kansas Department of Commerce
filed a state trademark application for the phrase "From the Land of Kansas."
On February 2, 2009,
this trademark, intended to promote the marketing of Kansas agricultural products, expired
. The government of Kansas
has now decided to bring this trademark back
, hoping that the Wheat State can use it to make hay and earn its farmers some dough.
